In the aftermath of Holidays, it can sometimes be disappointing, discouraging, and depressing. Bills need to be paid, the cold weather may still be here, weight may have come on, and lack of sunlight may have an effect on mood. Look up to what is real. Look up to the true Light of the World. Influence your atmosphere instead of letting your atmosphere influence you. You can only do that by the power of the Holy Spirit. Seek Him today if you need to be uplifted.

Tis the Season?

Not all of us have perfect family relations or even families on the Holidays. Not all of us have the joy that surpasses understanding. Not all of us look forward to the festivities. However,
whichever category you are in, there is Good News and
things you can do.
If you are alone or estranged from family: 1. Remember God is your true Father and all you have to do is call on the name of Jesus to be there.
2. You have more brothers and sisters in Christ then you can ever ask thing or imagine. Get involved. Don't isolate. Find a local church or organization that is helping.
3. There is always someone who is worse off then you. By helping someone else, you will be helping yourself.
4. Praise, rejoice and again I say Praise and rejoice, regardless of what you "feel". It has supernatural power to release the joy that is your strength.
If you have family this season: 1. Remember not everyone does and there may be brothers and sisters in the Lord who need your love.
2. Don't mumble, grumble and complain about your family. See the positive and try to bring more of it out. Remember your Source is your Heavenly Father, not your family, and there are no guarantees they will be with you next Christmas.
3. Praise and rejoice and look for someone who is less fortunate then you to bless.
4. By being God's love this season you will be filled with His overwhelming joy.

Focus Well

Don't fear confrontation

Don't fear confrontation. Jesus never did but he did it in love, with wisdom and in a timely manner. If you confront an issue "in the moment" in love and with wisdom you bring awareness to the other party. Each time you bring awareness it plants a seed and that's how change has a chance to grow. What You Tolerate Will Dominate

Take a Break

When you go back to it you just may see it in a different light. Second harder than the first

No matter what you did or didn't do, this truth still stands, "There is no condemnation in Christ." Repentance is a moment by moment act of right relationship with God. It should be a healthy part of our daily relationship with God. If you feel condemnation it is not from God. If you feel conviction, repent and get back into right relationship. It's all about relationship. He's a Good God and has your best at heart. Believe it. If you can't do it in your relationship with God, you won't be able to do it in relationship with others! Sometimes after the build up of Christmas, the excitement of getting and anticipating gift giving, there can be a let down. You think about decisions, bills, etc. and you can even feel guilt for getting caught up in materialism. Don't lose the lesson. Write down what you would like to be different next year. Write down how the enemy may have snared you. Write down how you want to honor God through this in the future. Nothing is lost, everything is a learning experience. If you feel letdown in the aftermath of the holiday, look to the Lord and look to what He wants to teach you.

Your Gift - The Fullness

God brought the fullness of His plan on Christmas. It was His gift to us. If we are not accessing the fullness of Christ in us, then it is like unwrapping a gift but not opening the box to see all that's inside. It's not taking the present out and exploring/discovering all that it is. Take the present of Christ out of the box and experience it from this day forward. Ask the Holy Spirit, seek, and you will find. It's amazing how family situations good and bad can be magnified during the holidays. We are now adopted as sons and daughters (yes, you are God's son or daughter) into the family of God. Church families can be as dysfunctional as your natural family but we are still called to Unity. Unity in your natural and church family, publishing peace, bringing good tidings, harking to hear the Lord your leader. Hark, literally means a voice, a sound (or to listen for a voice or sound). Hark, truly listen and you will be led in love. Together (as One in Christ) they sing for joy; for eye to eye (in unity) they see the return of the LORD to Zion. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. In other words, you are thoroughly equipped to do this whether or not you feel like it! You are a house, part of the kingdom of God. Are you divided against yourself? Would you treat others the way you treat yourself? Are you as loving and forgiving with yourself as you are with others? Do you have battles in your own head? Do you bring yourself closer to God and His Kingdom or do you say to yourself, "I'm not worth it, I can't, I'm not enough." Those are lies from the enemy. When you choose to engage in them, you choose to work against Jesus. Start saying to yourself, "I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. I have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. And in Him, I am made complete, who is the head of all principality and power. "(Eph 1:2 & Col 2:10) Find the Word that says the opposite of what your environment (the world) has taught you about yourself. Get on His team today, be united with yourself, and you will stand not only for yourself but for the Kingdom. See a Kingdom is laid waste when it's subjects are so busy fighting against each other or within their own house, that they are laid null and void in the outside world. It is only a repeatative religious prayer if you are not meditating and talking to God about what you are actually praying. When a organ gets calloused (from continued wounds just like a scar) it begins to protect itself naturally and is less feeling. All that tissue builds up to make the feeling less for self protection. Our emotions react the same way. The only way for our hearts to remain soft out of the church and in (unfortunately) is to put our heart in Jesus's hand and let Him be the protection. Any other way leads to bondage and self defense. Taking off the negative and putting on the positive is something we must do through the Holy Spirit. If we sit and wait for someone to magically do it for us, we'll be waiting a long time. None of us is above having to do this work but the freedom and promotion it brings is so worth the effort. Think of anything negative that hinders you being all you were created to be. Take it off. Think of something positive in Christ that you can put on in it's place. Now, put it on!

Ps 118:24 This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.Waking up and making a conscious decision to praise God is a choice. Our feelings will follow if we focus on our first responsibility, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might (De 6:5).
